I'm officially appalled by the amount of milk this household consumes each week. Two gallons is no longer enough. I think the amount of milk in your fridge must say something about your stage of life - so I'm really curious - how many gallons of milk does your household go through in a week?

I think we go through 2 gallons a week. One of 2% and one of skim. Of course, my girls are at home during the day...HUGE difference!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to mention that we usually have a 1/2 gallon of skim on hand too! You make me feel better about my overconsumption of dairy.
Delete3 liters. Not sure what that is in gallons but it will go up once Elyse starts on cows milk!!
ReplyDeleteI totally didn't make this friendly for you Aussies... my bad. According to Wikipedia a liter = .264 gallons. So that makes... .8 gallons a week. :)
DeleteI drink maybe 1/3 of a half gallon of almond milk per two weeks. Thats equals some pretty complicated math.
ReplyDeleteWay too complicated for me. I heart a witty comment.
DeleteI drink one half gallon of vanilla almond milk. Jack and grant drink 1 gallon of milk a week or week and a half. But if there is dark chocolate almond milk in the house its gone in 2 days.
ReplyDeleteoooooh yum! Have never had dark chocolate almond milk. All the almond milk love makes me think we're missing out over here with the cow milk.
DeleteWe go through 2 gallons for sure sometimes 3. This week will be a 3 gallon week. We are at 2 1/2 right now. My girls love milk. Hey it does a body good! Hehe
ReplyDeleteWell we only have one kid and my husband and I don't drink milk so our one gallon lasts almost two weeks! Yogurt on the other hand, we eat about 30 yogurts in just over a week :)
ReplyDeleteI buy a half gallon of milk and a lot of times we don't finish before it goes bad. I have been going through about a quart of skim chocolate milk a week lately though. Yum!
