Most days I can be found in the comfort (or the confines...depends on the day) of our home, feeding my people, reading picture books, teaching munchkins, trying to stay on top of laundry and dishes and sneaking in time on my Kindle in the bathroom.
I'm a homeschooler who likes to surf.
A Jesus-lover who falls short daily.
A free-spirit who likes to be in control.
Becoming a mother turned my life inside out and has rocked my world like nothing I've ever experienced. Crazy Joy is a chronicle of the highs and the lows, the good and the bad - this is where I write it down. After 6+ years of keeping this type of public journal, I've fallen in love with the craft of writing. Every once in a while I'll try to trap an experience on this screen to be read over and over again and I discover the magical feeling that comes when 26 letters and a smattering of punctuation are able to communicate a truth buried deep in my soul. Those posts are my favorites.
Mostly I write about my experience navigating the chaos around me. Instead of fighting to smooth out the rough places in my life, I have come to believe that there is something sacred in embracing the craziness of this life we are living.
I enjoy guest posting on other blogs like ScaryMommy and Mamapedia and speaking to women, sharing how faith, marriage and motherhood have shaped me. I don't accept advertising, but I do post about products I use and businesses I love on occasion.
